UKM News Portal Won Award on University's Innovation Award Night

BANGI, 19 April, 2011 –UKM’s News Portal setup within the university’s website since May last year to publicise the university’s research findings has been given the Innovation of Management and Administration Award at the 6th UKM Innovation Awards Ceremony.
The Award was presented by Chairman of the UKM Board of Directors Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr Mazlan Ahmad at the Awards Night in Puri Pujangga here on Friday night.
Two groups from the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Centre for Research and Instrumentation Management received awards for the Group Category.
They were the Microscopic Group from the Faculty of Science and Technology for their Drying Process of Samples of Bacteria for Microsopic Electron Imaging Project headed by Normala Hj. Shamsudin and a Group from the Research Management and Instrumentation Centre headed by Dahliya Abdul Kadir for their Guidelines to Prepare Report and Rubric and Marking Valuation Forms (PPKCoE‐UKM) 2010 project.
The Vice Chancellor Quality Award went to the Laboratory Diagnostic Services Department of the UKM Medical Centre headed by Dr Hanita Othman while the Citra UKM Award went to the UKM Accreditation Committee.
