Entry requirement varies from programme to programme. Please refer to the programme leaflets for details of entry requirement for each programme. general entry requirement for most programmes are as follows:
Bachelor's Degrees
STPM or its equivalent with a minimum of 3 years working experience
Diploma recognised by LAN or its equivalent with a minimum of 3 years working experiences

Postgraduate Diplomas
Bachelor's Degree relevant to the programme applied with a minimum of 3 years working experience; or
Relevant Diploma recognised by Malaysian Accrediation Board or its equivalence with a minimum of 8 years workign experience in related fields

Masters Degrees
Bachelor;s degree relevant to the program aplied with a minimum of 3 years working experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
International (non-Malaysian) candidates intending to enroll in UKM programmes are required to atain a minimum score of 550 for TOEFL and a band 5 for IELTS as a prerequisites. However, scored may vary depending on individual faculty's requirement. Please refer to he programme leaflets for details.
All non- Malaysian candidates are required to complete two courses of " bahasa Melatu For Academic Purposes", which will be organized by the university. Exemptions may be awarded to candidates who have undergone similar courses in bahasa Melayu organised by other organizations which are recognized by the university.
LIVING EXPENSES
The average monthly living expenses recommended for each person in Malaysia is USD500. This covers expenses such as laundry fees, meals, transportation, accommodation in campus and miscellaneous personal items required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Bahasa Melayu is the national language of Malaysia and is also the medium of instruction for most undergraduate programmes in UKM. International programmes conducted via PKP though are conducted in English. Candidates from Non Bahasa Melayu speaking nations who are planning to study in UKM are advised to register to "bahasa Melayu Proficiency Course" prior to commencing on their academic programme. Similarly, candidates from non-English speaking countries are advised to take up " English Proficiency COurse" to enable them to be competent enough in speaking and writing using the language.
