INTRODUCTION

Mathematics is the universal language of science and is essential to the technological evolution of our society.

With the aim of bringing together academicians and professionals with cross-disciplinary interests related to Mathematical Sciences

and demonstrating the vital role that mathematics play in our society, the School of Mathematical Sciences at the

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in collaboration with the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society (PERSAMA),

is organizing the International Conference of Mathematical Sciences 2007 (ICMS’07).

OBJECTIVES

To highlight the usage of mathematical sciences in various issues.
To emphasize the importance of mathematical sciences in the development of the society and the nation.
To identify new methods and ideas which can be explored.

SCOPE

Focuses on theory and applied areas such as engineering, medical, populations,

biotechnology, insurance and finance.
