Our botanical expeditions to Gunung Trus Madi, the second highest mountain of Sabah, lead to a discovery of a new Rafflesia. This was later named R. tengku-adlinii. This picture was taken in 1989 in one of our visit to the site of this magnificent flower. We lead the world in an initiative to study in detail the biology of Rafflesia in Sabah while I was serving UKMS.
